I focus on empowerment, strengths-based, client centered, and collaborative approach during treatment. I am empathetic and compassionate to my client’s lived experiences and identity. I often weave humor into sessions as appropriate, because therapy does not have to be more daunting than it already is.
I treat anxiety, depression and trauma through a cultural,trauma informed and anti-oppressive lens.
Therapy is a journey with obstacles and victories along the way. I will walk beside you and gently provide guidance as you do inner work and focus on what is important to be explored, unravel and work through. We will collaborate to identify treatment goals and treatment modalities that will serve your needs. You may have heard this before but healing is not linear and does not look the same for everyone.
Depending on your needs, we will discuss what your goals are in therapy and length of treatment. We will monitor your progress towards your treatment goal. When starting therapy, I recommend weekly sessions as we continue to identify issues you would like to work on and reevaluate to biweekly or monthly after 8 weeks.
